IOT ADVANCED · B2B CONNECTIVITY
B2B mobile connectivity with access to available Swiss networks, integrated voice and coverage included for your business.
The IoT Advanced SIM is the business data and voice SIM for both simple and mission-critical IoT applications. Multi-operator access in Switzerland, native voice for emergency scenarios, data and voice included in Europe Zone and Business Zone. One SIM, one bill, one point of contact.
The IoT Advanced SIM dynamically attaches to the available Swiss mobile networks. When one operator degrades or presents limited coverage, the connection continues on an alternative network. For applications where every offline minute costs, network redundancy is worth more than the nominal coverage of a single operator.
Sensors, telemetry, alarms and voice coexist natively. For regulated elevators, vehicle eCall, IP intercoms, emergency terminals and alarm systems, voice is a non-negotiable requirement. Our SIM includes it with no extra modules or numbering.
Data and voice traffic on your IoT Advanced SIM is valid across Switzerland Zone, Europe Zone and Business Zone. The device moves between countries without tariff jumps, extra packages or billing surprises.
// tech sheet
In Switzerland, the IoT Advanced SIM operates on 4G LTE and 5G NSA/SA depending on the attached network's availability. In Europe Zone and Business Zone countries, the device attaches to the best available technologies: 4G/5G where operational, with 2G/3G fallback where still active. Verify modem compatibility with your HelvetiaCom Fleet Manager before deployment.
// network selection
Every HelvetiaCom IoT Advanced SIM operates through our MVNE agreement with access to multiple Swiss mobile networks. On activation the SIM scans available networks and attaches to the one offering the best conditions. If the attached network degrades or becomes unavailable, the SIM automatically re-attaches to an alternative network. The process is transparent to device and application.
Architecture designed to reduce the single point of failure risk typical of single-operator connectivity.
| Need | HelvetiaCom IoT Advanced | Swisscom IoT | Consideration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Network redundancy in Swiss territory | Multi-operator access | Proprietary Swisscom network | Redundancy is added value in mission-critical scenarios |
| Native voice on the IoT SIM | Included, integrated | Separate option or dedicated plan | For regulated elevators, eCall and security, voice is a regulatory requirement |
| Commercial model | Exclusively B2B, tailored offer, single point of contact | Standard pricing, enterprise/SME segmentation | Ticino and Italian-Swiss SMEs prefer direct relationship |
| Italian language support and proximity | Dedicated team in Ticino | Multilingual national support | Response time and cultural context for the industrial fabric south of the Alps |
| Europe Zone and Business Zone coverage | Included per project according to defined zones | Standard separate roaming tariffs | For cross-border assets TCO is decided here |
Swisscom IoT is a reference solution on the Swiss market. HelvetiaCom IoT Advanced positions itself as a specialised alternative for multi-network scenarios with integrated voice and dedicated B2B management with Ticino proximity.
A regulated market in Switzerland, particularly strong in Ticino. The standard requires voice always active in the cabin. The multi-network SIM with native voice guarantees the rescue call even if the primary operator does not respond.
Explore elevatorsVehicles and containers cross borders every day. Coverage included in Europe Zone and Business Zone plus multi-network attachment in Switzerland avoids tracking blackouts and roaming bill surprises.
Explore logisticsFor intrusion and fire systems the alarm must always go through. Multi-operator access drastically reduces the risk of failed transmission on a single degraded network.
Explore securityA POS that doesn't transact loses revenue in real time. Dynamic network selection keeps the terminal operational even where a single operator presents shadow zones.
Explore POSHome clinical devices, remote holters, telemedicine gateways. Mission-critical connectivity on public cloud relies on redundant coverage and voice for escalation scenarios.
Explore healthFor OEMs and integrators distributing devices on the Swiss market, a single SIM with multi-network coverage and voice simplifies go-to-market and supply chain.
Explore smart devicesIoT Advanced is the right SIM if your IoT works in the cloud, communicates via public brokers or SaaS platforms, and you need native voice with Swiss multi-network coverage.
// pricing
IoT Advanced has no fixed price list. Serious B2B IoT pricing depends on SIM volume, traffic profile, included voice services and required SLA level. We build the plan on your project.
Each SIM has a monthly fee sized to the device's role. A temperature sensor doesn't pay like a camera or an emergency terminal with active voice.
Data volume and voice minutes are defined for each individual SIM according to the device's actual traffic profile.
The bundle is valid in Switzerland Zone, Europe Zone and Business Zone alike. No surcharge when the device crosses a border.
Voice-required applications get minutes sized on actual vertical usage, not on the consumer price list.
